What is Microblading?
Microblading is a unique form of cosmetic tattooing that requires, not just skill, but also an artistic eye and a vision for beauty.
Each brow is crafted by individual hairstrokes which are hand drawn using a manual tool that carries a certain number of micropins to form a microblade. these hand drawn strokes break the surface of the skin and allow the artist to place pigment into the epidermis.
When properly performed, Microblading can be a wonderful solution to those who suffer from Alopecia, Trichotillomania, and those who have seemingly over worked their brows through the years.
With Humaira, Each stroke is customized to your natural growth pattern to give you a beautiful and stunningly natural looking brows.

POSTCARE
Your new brows will be up to 50% darker and thicker. It is normal to have an adjustment period. Days 5-7, you may experience minor scabbing or flaking. DO NOT pick at the scabs or flaking skin. Days 8-14, as your body heals, it is normal for your new brows to look as though they've "disappeared". This will subside and your brows will return as your skin continues to heal. Days 14-28, your brows will return but may appear a bit uneven and patchy. This is normal and will be taken care of at your touch up, if scheduled.
Gently blot the area with clean tissue to absorb excess fluid. Do this every 5 minutes for the first day until oozing has stopped. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymphatic fluid. Our goal is to ensure that the lymphatic drainage (clear fluid coming from treatment area) is cleaned off regularly in an effort to minimize the formation of scabs. If scabs do form, they can pull the pigment out.
You will need to:
-
WASH your new eyebrows with a mild, neutral soap (unscented baby soap, Cetaphil or Dove) 3-5 times during the first day. Make sure to wash your hands first before touching your brows. With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the eyebrows. Rub the area in a smooth motion for 10 seconds and rinse with water ensuring that all soap is rinsed away. To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or any exfoliants.
-
MOISTURIZE your brows with the Aftercare Ointment I've provided you. You want to make sure that you keep the area well moisturized, but NOT over moisturized. Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin. Never put the ointment on a wet or damp tattoo.
-
PROTECT your brows. During your first 3 nights, take plastic wrap and tie around your head like a headband to prevent wiping off the ointment during sleep and drying out your brows. Once the brows dry out, the pigment has been pulled from the strokes and there is no way to replace the pigment until touchup.
-
BE PATIENT. Use a fresh pillowcase. Do not pick, pull, or encourage scab removal as this can cause scarring or loss of color. . Any scabbing or dry skin should be allowed to come off on it's own.
AVOID for 7-10 Days:
-
Hot, sweaty exercise
-
Makeup
-
Creams & Lotions (except for provided aftercare ointment)
-
Direct Sun Exposure
-
Swimming
AVOID for 4 Weeks:
-
Facials
-
Botox
-
Chemical Treatments
-
Microdermabrasion
Limit your showers to 5 minutes so you do not create too much steam. Keep your brows out of the water while you wash your body, then, at the end of your shower, wash your hair. Your face should only be getting wet at the very end of the shower. Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area.
